1940s WWII Map Lingerie

Fabric was in very short supply during WWII and those rumours of parachute silk being transformed into lingerie and even wedding dresses are totally true.

Rare silk escape maps were also turned into blouses, dresses and lingerie during the 1940s and our Map range is inspired by a set of escape map lingerie on display in London's Imperial War Museum. The original set belonged to the Countess of Mountbatten and was made from a map of Italy given to her by an RAF boyfriend.

Our 1940s map has been digitally printed onto soft peach satin for a vintage look and seductive feel.

Fitting Room

Our Map lingerie range is designed to be easy to fit. The Tap Pants have a little elastic at the back while stretchy powermesh is incorporated into the Bra, Panties and Garter Belt so if you are an inch or two different to our size chart will not make a difference to fit everything will still fit.

For more sizing information check out our Lingerie Fitting Room.
